Poetry news: Live Canon first collection prize

I am delighted to say that I have been shortlisted for the 2017 Live Canon first collection competition.

In addition to reaching the shortlist, there is something else linked to this that I don’t think I can write about at the moment. It is very exciting, anyway.

Live Canon are a fantastic publisher, and do lots of great events in London and elsewhere. They also run poetry courses, including one that helps poets record their work for Youtube. It is refreshing to have a publisher embrace technological change that can add to the art form.

They also gave me my first publication in 2011, for their poetry prize ran in that year.

Splendid! Spiffing!
